What is it with these drivers???

Ok, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed all these aggressive drivers on the road lately?

Well, I sure have. I have also noticed that most of the time the people who are the ones riding my tail, in a hurry, and just driving aggressivly have been women in really fancy vehicles like Hummers, decked out top of the line SUV's, BMW's and that sort of thing. I mean, I know they are rich, but golly, that doesn't give them the right to push everyone else out of the way. I don't know how many times I've said I want to get one of those digital scrolling marquis that says "You might be rich, but you DON'T own the road" or "You might not care about YOUR cargo, but I care about MINE...so BACK OFF!" Or something like that... Then if I did that, I'd probably bring out some road rage in others and that wouldn't be a good thing either and it would just create a whole nother mess of problems to deal with.

I don't know what it is? I drive the speed limit... I even move over to let those who are driving faster than the speed limit around me. But it still isn't enough for some of these people.

Sometimes I think it's b/c I drive a mini-van. I have noticed a difference when I drive my husband's big truck. My driving style is exactly the same, but people don't tend to ride my tail or push me off the road like they do in my van.

Come on now!!! Just because someone drives a big car does not make them rich, or snobs. Maybe they are jsut better managers of their money than some people. That old saying "Don't just a book by its cover" applies to people also. By the same token I may drive a 1977 VW bug, and have $10,000,000.00 in the bank.

What! Nowhere in my post did I ever say that people with those kinds of vehicles were snobs or anything like that. Shocked

It has simply been my personal observation that people with larger or flashy expensive vehicles tend to be the vehicles that are always in a hurry. Do I assume they have some money to spare??...sure, but they could also just be in a whole lotta debt Confused

A rant is a rant...and that was mine that day. Simple as that.

Maybe you are driving too slow. I have no problem with people driving the speed limit and not speeding. I tend to drive a few mph over the speed limit, but it really bothers me when people don't even go the speed limit. Especially on multiple lanes traveling the same direction and the slower car is not courteous enough to move over to the right lane like they are supposed to. Remember the signs that say "Slower Traffic Keep Right".

Nope, I drive the speed limit and I have no problem getting over to let the speedy cars by either. I am totally not a road-hog. Confused

I think it has something to do with driving a mini-van. Like I said, doesn't really happen to me when I drive my husband's truck, just when I drive the mini-van.
